The purpose of the curriculum review and approval process is to identify curriculum models that best support Georgia’s Pre-K programs and are optimally aligned with the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS).The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning improves outcomes for children and families by strengthening early learning experiences in partnership with early education programs, professionals, stakeholders, families, and communities. Our Vision. Every child in Georgia will have equal access to high-quality early care and education. Georgia’s Pre-K Program is generally non-transferable. When a center is sold after entering into a Georgia’s Pre-K grant agreement with Bright from the Start, change of ownership requirements must be met as determined by Bright from the Start before a determination can be made as to the transferring of the Pre-K program to the new owner. All children enrolled in Georgia's Pre-K Program need to have a Certificate of Vision, Hearing, Dental and Nutrition Screening ( DHR Form 3300) on file within 90 calendar days of program entry. Form 3300 must be signed by a private practitioner or representative of a local Department of Health. Immunizations ( DHR Form 3231) must be up to date ...
